Andy Roddick and Radek Stepanek won their respective semifinal matches, setting up the championship match at the $436,000 SAP Open.
The top-seeded Roddick struggled in the first set, but won in a tiebreak and cruised in the second set for a 7-6 (7-2), 6-1 win over Spaniard Guillermo Garcia-Lopez.
The American Roddick will look to claim his third crown here, having won the event in 2004 and 2005,
Stepanek, the fourth-seeded Czech, dropped the first set to American wild card Robby Ginepri, but took the next two with relative ease for a 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 6-1 win.
Roddick has won all three matches against Stepanek, the latest in 2007 in Washington, D.C.
The 2008 San Jose winner will collect $68,800.
